A Day at the Races is a fast paced card game simulating the thrill of the track and the excitement of betting. Two card decks, poker chips a few pennies and a few friends are all that's need to enjoy this rousing card game.
Can't afford to offer free anymore but this is an alternate crit & fumble system and it's a bit more elegant that my other system. This one calls for a percentile roll in addition to the roll to hit, percentage chance of critting or fumbling is dependent on the difference between the to hit number and the to hit die result. Any hit can be a crit and any miss a fumble. In addition, first level puds have a chance of critting without rolling multiple 20's.
Magic is inimical to most if not all fantasy and is featured in some other genres as well. "A Treatise" discusses magic systems from various rulesets briefly, addresses magic use in general in RPGs and proposes a novel sysatem for handling magic, aracane and divine.
After much effort, handwriting and puzzling things out, plus the usual blood, sweat and tears, Polyhedron Games LLC is proud to announce its first print-on-demand product and the first gazetteer in the Ertian Chronicles, "Beldany: The Fey Kingdom." From the back cover: "Beldany: The Fey Kingdom, called Narilio by the elves, is the first gazetteer in the Ertian Chronicles series. Within are sections on its principle attributes such as ruler, religion, population and resources...
To the west and south of the Confederacy lies the tropical land of Bresium, governed by a gynarchy. The people who tamed Bresium were normal men and women bringing their families to find hope and peace in a new land. Disaster, however, befell the settlers in the form of a wasting disease unique to the jungles of Bresium. After an exposure of several weeks, all the males died off. Not willing to return to their lands of origin, the women remained to establish a new nation, one ruled by women.
Another new offering from Polyhedron Games LLC, this one a small volume of original magic items, such as the Stones of Inarra, the Sailing Staff, The Quirtoin Paradox, the Dwarven Tankard and sixteen more.
The Kyrian Confederacy consists of the Principality of Seavolk, Kyria, Arrillianna, Stone Helm, Ale Town, Forge Hearth, the Verdant Forest, Sea Cave and Independent Holds. Each of these is known as a client state. It is administered by the Kyrian Council which meets in Kyria once a month. The Council consists of seven representatives from each of the above areas except the Verdant Forest and Sea Cave. The Chair rotates each year and its occupant acts as the ceremonial head of state when...
I'm putting this one up for a lower price because it's your basic nat/fumble table, though there aare some nasty consequences. It's an original.
Crusaders Gauntlet was written when Castles & Crusades had just hit the shelves. It was written as a demo module back when I had a brain and was considered by the Troll Lords when there was talk of organized demo teams. It was rewritten for their Aihrde setting and repitched and was not what they were looking for. So, their loss is your gain. This is a tough adventure for low level characters.
This one's a beaut. Showed some of my new group Palladium's Deluxe Revised Recon and they were, "we have to play this sometime." So, being the contientious GM (or, in this case, MD) that I am, I did a close perusal of the rules and discovered there was no character sheet! Now this is no barebones sheet, detailing such things as serial number, handedness, hometown, history "in the world" and quite a few other items not explicity covered in the rules.
Ersa (called "Nanji" by its natives) is the southern continent of the "known" world of Ert (interestingly, the name of the planet is pronounced the same in all languages). Nearly all of its land mass is occupied and controlled by the Empire of Heaven (Tengoku no Teikoku), a land of oriental character. Three additional areas on the continent are worth noting. The first is a foothill region backed by mountains to the coast occupied by savage hill tribes, known as Ryuu no...
The creation myth described in the earlier chapter is written from a Paxian perspective. It differs to a greater or lesser degree depending upon the language, culture or race of the teller. Paxian and Venician are spoken almost universally on the continent of Ropa. The only cultures that deviate on Ropa from the Paxian myth are the Eddans and Kraeldonians. Different deities are paramount in Prissia and Venicia, but the myth is essentially the same. Dwarves and gnomes share the Stone Father...
This is a handrawn map of Ert, featured in the upcoming Ertian Chronicles.
Sorry, hafta quit the giveaways. This will get your creative juices flowing in generating business names.
Every hectic and harried gamemaster needs a helping hand in preparing for adventures. This little tool should help organize a gamemasters thought and give him or her a physical surface on which to order thoughts, devices and the adventure as a whole. The GameMaster's Template simply provides sign posts in a logical and coherent manner and plenty of blank space to create an outline.
The Kingdom of Hope is a benevolent theocracy under the administration of Renowned Healer Henry Alan of Tarn's Cross. The Renowned Healer is not married, but he entertains a consort named Clarice the Nimble and accorded great honor. By law, the Renowned Healer must be a cleric of Samariachau, though temples and shrines to other gods abound. The country is split into twelve administrative regions each headed by a Benevolent Healer. By tradition, the Benevolent Healer of the Lumina Temple...
Here's a nifty little booklet with which to harass your players. Six tables with evil little mishaps. I've also enlarged the font so it will print out in booklet form in a more readable size. I'm learning (I think) as I go along.
The Kingdom of the Ivory Pearl is ruled by robber barons, pirates, more accurately. It is a kingdom of islands currently ruled by a ruthless Queen. There are 19 islands in the kingdom, seven with sizable harbors. An “earl,” six in number, controls each harbored island. “Barons” rule thirteen islands. There are no rules of succession; might makes right. Queen Captain Hester the Reaper rules the kingdom with an iron fist. Her carrack fitted for war, the “Bonny...
Keeping In Shape Slaying is a module showcasing the versatility of the KISS: Keep It Simple System™.
Keeping In Shape Slaying is a module showcasing the versatility of the KISS: Keep It Simple System™ and this dowqnload contains both at a reduced price.
This is the new, clarified, revised, reorganized and augmented system taking into account the valuable criticism from the initial free download. These rules contain a new Keeper's Section and a player character sheet including room for a narrative character back story. Once again, I've done a revision based on a module I've written for the system. However, both are now in the hands of playtesters. I'm re-releasing the rules system, but I'll wait on the playtest results for the module. The...
Kraeldonia is another strange land on Ert. There are three distinct, cohesive groups in this land, the highland clans, the dwarven holds and the lowland freeholders. The people of the lowlands are generally either farmers or fishermen or maritime raiders. Those of the lowlands pay nominal fealty to King Magnus in Hightor, though they run their affairs with little heed from the highland clans.
