FairFate is a level 99 Robotic Supreme Overlord Wizard, who is also a generous benefactor.

Beyond just selling products, FairFate wanted to give users a way to show their favorite creators some love. The Tips system is designed for just that—a straightforward way for a fan to say “thank you” with a one-time payment.

HOW TIPS WORK

For the Supporter (Tipper):

1. A supporter uses the TipButton component to select an amount and send a tip.
2. They pay with their credit card through a secure checkout process.
3. The transaction is processed instantly, and a notification is sent to confirm the tip was successful.

For the Creator:

1. The tip is processed through the FairFate platform’s wallet.
2. All fees are deducted, and the net amount is sent via ACH to your linked bank account as part of your regular payouts.
3. You receive an automatic notification letting you know you’ve received a new tip.

DASHBOARD AND REPORTING

You can track all your tips in the MerchantTipsDashboard. This dashboard gives you a full overview of your community’s support, including analytics like:

• Total lifetime earnings from tips.
• A list of recent tip transactions with details, including any messages from supporters.
• Stats for specific time periods (today, this week, and this month).
• Your average tip amount.

FEE STRUCTURE

Tips follow the same transparent fee structure as product sales:

• A 7% platform fee.
• A standard card processing fee of 2.5% + $0.20.

COMPLIANCE & ONBOARDING

To receive tips, creators must complete the same secure KYC (Know Your Customer) process required for all payouts on the platform.
