FairFate specializes in instant digital delivery of tabletop RPG products. No physical shipping is involved.

How Delivery Works

Immediate Delivery

  1. Purchase confirmed - payment processed securely
  2. Instant access - products appear in your Library
  3. Download anytime - no expiration on download access
  4. Multiple devices - download on any device you own

Delivery Timeline

  • Standard products: Instant (within seconds of payment confirmation)
  • Large files (>1GB): May take 1-2 minutes for library sync
  • Pre-orders: Available on release date at 12:00 AM UTC

Access Methods

  • Direct download from your Library
  • Fast worldwide delivery via cloud storage
  • Resume support for interrupted downloads
  • No download limits - redownload anytime

Cloud Library

  • Persistent access - products never expire
  • Automatic updates - creators can push updates (you’ll be notified)
  • Offline access - download for offline use
  • Cross-platform - access from web, desktop, or mobile

File Formats

Products are delivered in formats specified by creators:

  • PDF (most common for rulebooks)
  • EPUB/MOBI (for e-readers)
  • ZIP archives (for collections of images, maps, tokens)
  • Audio files (MP3, FLAC for soundtracks)
  • Video files (MP4 for tutorials)
  • Foundry VTT modules (.zip packages)
  • Roll20/other VTT (compatible formats)

Download Locations

Your products are stored on:

  • Location: United States data centers
  • Reliability: High availability infrastructure

Delivery Issues

Failed Delivery

If you don’t receive your product within 5 minutes:

  1. Check Library - products appear here first
  2. Check email - purchase confirmation includes download links
  3. Clear cache - refresh your browser
  4. Check spam folder - for email confirmation
  5. Contact support - we’ll resend download links immediately

Corrupted Downloads

If a file won’t open or appears corrupted:

  1. Redownload - from your Library (files may have been interrupted)
  2. Try different browser - some browsers have download limits
  3. Check file size - compare to size shown in Library
  4. Report issue - we’ll investigate and provide a working file

Missing Content

If purchased content is missing:

  1. Creator updates - some creators update products (check notifications)
  2. Bundle expansions - new items may be added to existing bundles
  3. Version control - we track all versions, you can download any
  4. Support investigation - we’ll verify your purchase and restore access

Geographic Restrictions

Global Availability

  • Available worldwide (except where prohibited by law)
  • No geographic restrictions on most products
  • Language: Products available in multiple languages (as offered by creators)

Country-Specific Restrictions

Some products may be restricted in certain countries due to:

  • Creator choice (regional licensing agreements)
  • Legal requirements (content restrictions by jurisdiction)
  • Payment regulations (sanctions, embargoes)

If a product is unavailable in your country, it will show as “Not Available in Your Region” and cannot be purchased.

Pre-Order Delivery

Release Date Delivery

  • Scheduled release - products unlock at specified time
  • Time zone: All releases at 12:00 AM UTC
  • Availability - products become available for download at release time

Early Access

Some creators offer:

  • Backer early access - for crowdfunding supporters
  • Beta access - for testing and feedback
  • Tiered releases - different tiers unlock at different times

Updates and Patches

Automatic Updates

  • Creator pushes update - you’re notified via email
  • Library shows “Update Available” - download new version
  • Old versions preserved - access previous versions if needed
  • Changelog provided - see what changed

Version History

  • All versions tracked - download any historical version
  • Retention: Versions kept for minimum 2 years
  • Creator deletion - some creators may remove old versions

Backup and Ownership

Your Ownership Rights

  • Perpetual access - products remain in Library forever (subject to Terms)
  • Personal backup - you may backup files for personal use
  • DRM-free - most products have no DRM (creator’s choice)
  • Transfer restrictions - cannot transfer or resell (see Terms of Service)

Platform Backup

  • Daily backups - all user libraries backed up
  • Disaster recovery - robust backup and recovery processes
  • Creator departure - products remain available even if creator leaves
  • Platform shutdown - 90-day advance notice (unlikely)

Special Delivery Scenarios

Bundles

  • All items at once - entire bundle delivered on purchase
  • Growing bundles - new items added automatically
  • Discounts applied - if you own part of bundle, price adjusted

Gift Purchases

  • Email delivery - gift code sent to recipient’s email
  • Redemption - recipient adds to their library via code
  • No expiration - gift codes never expire
  • Refund policy - unredeemed gifts can be refunded (see Refund Policy)

Crowdfunding Rewards

  • Backer rewards - delivered to email used for backing
  • FairFate account linking - claim rewards in your Library
  • Delayed delivery - follows creator’s timeline (not instant)

Accessibility

Products delivered in accessible formats:

  • Screen reader compatible - when provided by creator
  • Text-to-speech - PDF text layer support
  • Alternative formats - request from creator if needed
  • Accessibility review - creators encouraged to follow WCAG guidelines
